An independent evaluation tests how your ML/TF risk assessment was carried out, whether your AML/CTF policies are designed to meet your obligations, whether those policies are being followed and whether your risks are being managed in practice.

Your documents are reviewed, selected customer records and controls are tested, and a written report is provided. The report explains what is working, identifies any adverse findings and sets out the actions that should follow.

The scope and depth are set around the nature, size and complexity of your business. This entity-arranged evaluation is separate from an external audit that may be required by AUSTRAC.
